MHWF Adoption Application

 
  1. Print out and mail in your hard copy application, along with your photos and $10 processing fee.
  1. Applications must come with a minimum of 5 color photos, showing the pastures, fencing, inside and outside of shelters, as well as water supply and horses already on the property in order to be approved.                                   
  1. You must be at least 18 years old to inquire about horses or to submit an application.

Why fill out an adoption application?

Everyone at MHWF is a volunteer and have regular daytime jobs. Because of this, our time is often stretched and we have to work as efficiently as possible. There are always appointments, new horses coming in, chores, paperwork, phone calls and emails and we often struggle to keep up. Requiring an approved application ensures that the time we spend answering emails and phone calls is with people who can be approved and are at least seriously considering adoption as an option for their next horse.

Submitting your application does not obligate you to adopt a horse. It simply gets you pre-approved so that we can answer your questions and start looking for the right horse for you.
